Effective 20 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-20-v1
Terms of Service
These terms describe the basic rules for using Advocate Diary. They are a product draft and need review by qualified counsel before commercial launch.
1. The service
Advocate Diary provides software tools to organize client records, case information, hearings, documents, bills, payments and reminders. It is not a law firm, court, legal-research authority, filing service or source of official court records.
2. Your account and responsibilities
Provide accurate account information, protect your password and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you enter, maintaining your own copies of important records, obtaining any permissions needed to upload client material, and verifying hearing dates, limitation periods, court status and filing requirements with official sources.
3. Confidentiality and permitted use
Use the service only for lawful professional practice and authorized team work. Do not upload material you have no right to store, attempt to access another tenant’s records, interfere with the service, or use the service for unlawful, misleading or abusive activity. Team members must use individual accounts; do not share login credentials.
4. Plans, trials and payments
Plan features and limits are shown in the account. Trials may have limits and an end date. Paid checkout is processed through the payment method shown. A subscription becomes active only after payment is verified and recorded as paid. Manual payments or expiry extensions are valid only when confirmed and recorded by the platform administrator.
You may cancel from Billing where that option is available. Access generally continues until the recorded subscription end date. Refund eligibility and requests are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Availability and external services
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or delivery of email and other notifications. External court, payment, email, storage and network services have their own availability and terms. Legal Library links are shortcuts only; Advocate Diary does not synchronize or certify the information on linked court websites.
6. No legal advice; no deadline guarantee
The service is an administrative diary, not legal advice. Reminders, dashboard dates, storage and payment status are aids only. You remain responsible for legal strategy, filing, limitation calculations, court attendance and verifying official records.
7. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access to protect accounts, comply with law, investigate misuse, or address non-payment. You may stop using the service and request account assistance through Support. Data retention and deletion are subject to the Privacy Policy, backup cycles and legal obligations.
8. Changes and liability
Features and these terms may change. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and the operator is not responsible for missed deadlines, incorrect user-entered data, third-party outages, or decisions made solely from an unverified display. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Operator and governing law
The service is currently identified as Advocate Diary. Before commercial launch, the operator must publish its full legal entity name, registered address, governing law and dispute venue, and have these terms reviewed by qualified counsel. Contact the operator through the details on the Support page.
